"Unfamiliar", 7:30min short film, recorded in Ca de Monti, Italy. During my time there, I spent my days wandering through the green landscapes around the house I was living in. Each day, I put on a pink wig and a red mask, ready to observe how my altered self would interact with the reality around. My synthetic appearance was more than just a costume; it was a creative experiment aimed at contrasting with the surroundings. Many times I find myself drawn to these estranged realities that make you question and rethink your own. By placing myself as a surreal element into this context, where the synthetic and natural elements clash and intertwine, I was able to observe and reflect on how disconnected we can be from reality and ourselves. "Unfamiliar" is a reflection on our own superficiality and the often lonely process of discovering ourselves.
